Homework Club (2010)
The homework club is in full swing. Students get individual help with their homework, and the experience has proved very worthwhile.

It takes place in Rosary School every Monday and Tuesday from 3.50pm-5.50pm with the new term commencing on January 10th 2010. The cost per term is €50.

Maths Day 2010 (2010)
Maths Day was a great success, all classes participated, including the girls from Marian School.

We also invited the boys from St. Joseph's , with their teachers.

There were loads of exhibits, interactive sessions, classes and puzzles, in different areas in the school.

Well done to all the Maths teachers who organised this day, and made maths fun, fun, fun!

We got the Magic Mathworks Travelling Circus to come to the school, with loads of things to try. This touring maths lab demonstrates and explores a multisensory approach to the learning of mathematics based on the Multiple Embodiment Principle of Z P Dienes.

Afternoon Tea for Ethiopia (2010)
On Wednesday 20th October, St. Mary's turned back the clock and we had Afternoon Tea.

This was a fundraiser for Fr. Stephen Monaghan's project in Ethiopia.

Ms. Owens said in her speech "I am so glad of the opportunities that my great education in St. Mary's School gave me, that I want to help provide education for deaf children in Ethiopia".

We had a lovely tea, with sandwiches and lots of cakes.

Then we had a raffle and traditional afternoon tea bingo!

It was great fun, and the amount raised was..... €2010.

Well done to Ms. Owens, LCA 1, and the many people who helped making and serving the food.

Basketball (2010)
The basketball teams have been working hard and training with Sarah Jane.

Clean up your computer ... (2010)
This week, LCA 2 asked everybody to clear out old files, documents and, most of all, old pictures.

This should result in a faster, better system for everybody.

Fetac Graduation (2010)
The Fetac graduation took place on Friday 24th September.

We are very proud of the fantastic results that these students achieved.

We're also glad to say that all three girls have got places on further education courses.

Good luck to all of you in this next phase of your education!

Swimming (2010)
We're very lucky that our school has a swimming pool.

Our swimming teacher is Loretta

We love swimming!

Welcome new girls (2010)
Marian School and to Rosary School welcomed lots of new pupils, and some girls moved down from Marian Primary School to Rosary Post Primary School.

We hope that you will be very happy here and that you will enjoy your education.

Exam Results  (2010)
Congratulations to everybody on this year's Leaving Cert and Leaving Cert Applied results, and to those who successfully completed their Fetac courses.

The results were among the best we have had in St. Mary's, and everybody got over the pass mark, with some outstanding results across the subject areas.

These excellent results are the culmination of many years work on the part of students and teachers, from when these girls first came to our school (some at age 4!), to enable each student to achieve her full potential. We're proud to say that everybody is now placed on the career path of her choice, in college or on PLC courses.
