800 Years Dominican Celebration (2007)
This year the Dominican Sisters celebrated 800 years. To mark this wonderful occasion they staged an evening of drama, dance and song recalling their history in Ireland and beyond.
The performance took place in the National Concert Hall on Monday October 8th, 2007 at 8:00 PM. Some of our post primary students (Transition Year A and B, and 1C) were involved. Their dramatisation of the opening of a School for Deaf children in South Africa was very well recieved.
Deaf with a Voice - DVD (2006)
This years transition class, led by their co-ordinator Shirley Higgins, set up a mini-company to remake, market and sell the DVD that last years class did produced as a learning resource for other schools that wanted to teach sign language.
Their efforts were featured in the Irish Times of the 22nd Feb, 2006 - a PDF copy of the article can be downloaded in our Downloads section of this site.
