| This year, 2006, is the one hundred and sixtieth anniversary of the foundation of St. Mary’s School for Deaf Girls. To mark this very special historical occasion, a number of celebrations have been organised. The school is a hive of activity preparing for the musical production of “Oliver” in December. Staff and students in both Marian Primary School and Rosary Post-primary School have been working very hard over the past few months, from designing and making costumes, designing and painting scenery to learning songs, dances and dialogue. A special Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Diarmuid Martin in St. Vincent’s Centre on December 15th. Sincere thanks to all involved. These celebrations are a worthy tribute to all who over the past one hundred and sixty years have passed through the doors of St. Mary’s either as a student or as a member of staff. |
